"Reissue"? You must mean version "B" instead of "A". They were in continuous production until very recently.
All versions have the rear knob, which duplicates the foot switch functions.
It sure would be nice to know the serial number of this puppy, eh?

Tonally not much at all, different reverb tube and fx loop configuration. As I said look at the site and you'll SEE the difference

only mesa boogies are sold already new with rusting transformers, really!

maybe thats the way to get the vintage sound ...
