The sound of the Mark IIB Coliseum

I recorded a quick demo of the lead channel in the studio. One version without the Maxon OD808 and one with.
The guitar i used is a ESP/LTD Snakebyte with JH EMG set. Cab is a Mesa Rectifier oversized. One Sennheiser MD421 straight through my Soundtracs Quartz 32 desk.

This recording is made on "low" volume, full power setting. As you will hear, this amp likes overdrive pedals. With the maxon it almost sounds like the Mark IIc+ lead channel.

Not that I'm a fan of METAL, but I much prefer the dynamics of the clip without the pedal. If you are in a studio, put that amp in an isolation room, and CRANK IT UP! :twisted:

The direct track has more " life" to me.

But if you can trr to reamp that with a 441 , it will give more punch and brightness to it.
