Has anyone heard these yet or is it too early? I didn't search but I'm surprised no one here is talking about them.
I was on another forum the other day (Rig-Talk I think) and people there were talking quite highly of how they sound.
Even the Recto bashers. Somewhere someone had posted clips I guess.

American Guitar & Band in Maple Grove had two of them in last week. I would suggest heading there to try them out. I tried it with the volume down low and the clean was way better than the older three channels. The other features I didn't really try out much. They also had two MKIV's, A MKV, and a MKIII as well as a few three channel DR you could try while there.

Spent a few hours A/B one of the new ones with other rectos.

Here's my review

I'm due for a drive up to AG&B. I bought my Stiletto from them when they were on Snelling Ave. in St. Paul. Closer to my home.
Now it's a long drive for me so I don't get there as often as I would like. Great store though.

Eric,
Great review. Thanks. That's more what I would have expected. I don't know what the Rig Talk guys where hearing.
Reviewing an amp off of You Tube? Go figure.

No joke...the rig talk thread is what got me to go try them out...I had a hard time believing a recto was so different all the sudden.

It's not

Mesa really is a great company but sometimes I think their advertising division pushes the envelope a little.
I mean in terms of touting new products or in this case reissues.
I don't want to make trouble so I'll stop now. :)

Two things,

First they didnt say the voicing was dramatically changed, however it was a little so they didnt false advertize.

Second, I would much rather see a comparison between a older 3 channel dual and a newer 3 channel dual, the triples were already a tight amp in the lower end due to the bigger transformer. i think we might see a bigger difference in the duals.
