I'd like to post some picture's, but alas .
My mark III is no more .
It blew a fuse , and after 20+ years of nearly flawless operation and marvalus tone , (and you know what I'm talking about , dahling ),
I decided to put it by the street . I cannot have such unreliable equipment .
It made a satisfying crunching noise in the back of the sanitation truck .Then the truck broke .

What colour stripe is the combo.. it would have to be a green yeah?

I have always called it blue. It seems waaay late to be blue, I know. I have always imagined it sat on the shelf for a long time before somebody ordered a completely stripped 60w. It doesn't even have the engraved serial, it has the plate.

Everyone who has seen it in person has told me "blue" when I ask what color the stripe is. Unfortunately it's not a simul model so there's no pentode or triode wiring to go by. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell by looking at the board? I have huge pictures elsewhere.

dude you have solved something for me...

i have NEVER seen or heard of a green stripe 60 watt or 60/100 watt...your amp is Defiantly in the green stripe serial range and date but thats a blue stripe... so this just show's green stripe's are only ever a simlu-class thing and the transformer's in early dual recto's are only from the 100watt blue stripes..

Can someone prove me wrong? or am i on to something

The only picture what I have right now, because of my broken hd. Hopefully more to come sooner or later.

So as all of you have probably seen I finally picked up a Mark III Combo. Got it last Sunday and Monday took it to the shop. I did play it all day Sunday but thats it. Its been in the shop ever since. He tells me he is gonna get on it Monday but its killing me to have spent months deciding what to buy and then buying it and not being able to play it.

It definately had some issues after I got it home. The main one being no Reverb. All in all though it was very dirty when I got it it cleaned up like a new one and for an older Blue Stripe that is pretty good.

I didnt get a chance to take any pics before I took it in for repairs. The only ones I have are from the auction.

You really cant tell how filthy this thing was from these pics but it had never been cleaned thats for sure. Though as soon as I go it home after I played it a while I cleaned it up inside and out.

I know there are more Mark III's around here so lets see em. Give me something to do while I set and wait on my amp to come back.

Pretty much a extra outlet for whatever you'd like to hook up to it. Its just a convenience thing.
