Some clean, some dirty, both HBs and SCs.[/url] Enjoy.

Nice clips. I agree w/ what you wrote about the LS on your site. Alot of folks emphasized on the clean of the LS but I think that the dirty is great
IMHO the LS is not the greatest clean nor the greatest dirty amp but it's one versatile amp and great for gigs.

Mine is my main amp also. and I use it a lot...it lives in a road case.
usual tube replacement after 3 yrs of use...but other than that it's a beast
with no issues. If it turned up gone I'd get another one the same day.

And actually, since I said I was going to earlier, I finally found time to put up those clips I made the other night. Some more stuff is coming, but here are the basics. Some clean, some dirty, both HBs and SCs. Enjoy.

Thanks, ja22y. Yes, things tend to get blown out of proportion -- there are waaaay better amps. But the LSC's darned good, covers a lot of bases very well, in a small package. And it really cuts through the mix too (does for me, anyway).

Brought home a 2x12 LS to try tonight. Killer amp, with the OD channel set with low gain, no extra drive, slammed with an OCD, I can get thick chewey crunchy tones. I liked it. :D

Atta baby. That's the stuff.

djw's clips inspired me! What a great amp! Nice playin dude. Oh, and slaming it with an OCD, yeah baby (quote Austin powers). Those clips with high gain are so clear, without the pre mod mud. Rasta, if you decide to buy that amp, you gotta do the mods.

I'm going to order a head. Do you all know if black tolex with black grill cloth comes with black piping as a standard color option? I've only seen black on black with silver piping.

I'll consider it, I like tinkering for better tone. 8)

I didn't even try the Mesa speakers in the 2x12, I ran it straight into my Bogner OS 2x12 with G12 65 Heritages. I liked the Timmy on the clean channel, gives the goods on some old Mellencamp type stuff.

I love it. Straight to the trim discussion. Very strong. Leather seats? GPS?

Me go nighty night, too much tone for one man to handle.......

On those clips you can hear the versatility of the amp. Its definitely got the classic rock thang plus the funky stuff he did on the strat. Throw in some lounge lizard jazz and you got old school of the likes not seen since the showman amps of the 70's. This amp is better though, more musical sounding, better built, more bells and whistles. I've thrown a few pedals at it and it just oozes tone. Timmy huh? Sounds sweet! I got a Barber LTD sr, which is like a Timmy, I can actually match it with my drive ch so close ya can't tell the difference. That's after the mod of course.

I don't know if they ordered it today or not. I told them Black on Black with Black piping and Boogie said they had 10 LS's with silver piping on the shelf ready to ship (that was yesterday when they called). I called back later today and they still haven't ordered it. I'm trying to be patient, they were trying to deter me from getting the black piping saying it would take Boogie forever.....

rastaman: I don't think I could ever be that patient, I'd probably just go with whatever they had in stock. I hope you get what you want!

Thanks for the props, plan-x. You're right: there's so much more the amp can do. In working situations I actually do use some pedals: generally, for the vintage thing I go:

Guitar >
Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah > Fulltone Supa-Trem > Fulltone Mini-Deja Vibe > Fulltone OCD > tuner
> LSC

...Obviously I'm going through a heavy Fulltone period in my life.

I also am experimenting with a Tone Press, primarily as a clean boost. I was sort of using the OCD for that before, but now it's freed up to go with the crunch/plexi sound it's designed for. But my favorite box right now is the Supa-Trem; I'm amazed at how much I use it. It really adds an amazingly cool vibe to the LSC, which is already deep in vintage territory; the Trem makes the thing sound like a frigging Fender Rhodes. Sweet.

I heard horror stories on custom order wait times. I'd buy whatever they've got.

djw, I'm just as bad with pedal brand also, just check my equip signature.

Stock is Black on Black with Silver piping. I asked for the same with Black piping, it's nothing extra money wise. I'm fine with it, I have other amps to play.
