Also, by all accounts so far, it seems that UK law might be different to US law in regards to the 'buying the amp remains' thing.
That sort of thing is illegal apparently, due to anti-profiteering laws.
So that ain't looking too good.

Not so sure about that - it does indeed belong to the insurer, and I would ask the question of them direct. They will try to offload it somewhere to minimise their loss, so if you cannot buy it direct, do it through a 3rd party (arms length transaction)

This one's for Boognoob...

Best of luck with the whole affair!

Looks like mine will be back on the dealer next monday, maybe tuesday. Crackling sounds are back... They will ship it to distributor...

Oh mate.

Sorry to hear that. :(

I do sympathise....tommorrows my 2nd week and Im really missing the Boogie.

(Hopefully only a week more to wait to see if my replacement is free of such problems.)
Its great amp when its working.

Frustrating stuff, but hang in there.... the problem has to be traceable/fixable somehow.
At least it sounds like your sending it to the right place, so soon hopefully your nightmare will be over..

soooooo????

I'm on the edge of my seat here.

how oh how does this drama end?

Same here! :(

Its meant to be coming into the store today.... just phoned at 10:30am and its not there yet...
They say they're expecting it anytime soon...

So as anything occurs I'll post.

Mine is still in Boogie...
I so tired of that stupid Line6 the guy from the store lent me... I cannot believe someone would buy a piece of crap like that!
Let´s wait for next week... this week i already lost hope.

Regarding your damaged Boogie... hold tight. If it were Portugal it would take months!!!

Months? Blimey...! Well if anything, it shows you how good Boogies are (when working) by comparison...
I feel for you on the Line6age... After a month on the valvestate, I'll never take mark V tone for granted again lol.

I'm waiting on a straight replacement brand new head, replacing the old combo.
Its drawing to the end of business for today so I gotta assume it didn't show up..

Talk about yer 'wet wednesday'..... Oh well.... Fingers crossed for tommorrow.

After shenanigans with deliveries, the store have found me a new head of the 000038xxish mark...! (Guess it was a while getting here to the UK)
I've accepted and hope to pick it up Monday....!!

Im rescued from the Valvestate at last! I tried to get tasty tone, but this was best I could manage (with my heritage epiphone LP at least):

So as you can hear, the level of "Thank f**k for that" was absolutely immense, when I took that call.

Glad to hear you got it all worked out..

I got a new combo in the US in Dec and it was 35xx. Although it replaced a 5xxx that I returned because the tolex was beat up. So I'm not sure if there are just new old stock boogies sitting around some where or what.

Thanks, Iceman. :D

Oh thats good to know..! I thought the concept sounded strange at first, but now I hear your testimony that supports that its like that all over I certainly feel reassured...apparently new straight-from-Mesa-kinda-new Boogies are on a waiting list spanning months and stuff, here.

I've a year under my belt, and my screenname is still very much appropriate it would seem.

It´s great to you've got your problem sorted... It'll be a long weekend :D
Mine is still MIA

Well lets hope this ones ok! And indeed, it will!

No way!!! Bloody hell...
Still line6-ing it..? Hopefully not for too much longer.. Sometimes you really gotta hate life for not having that fast forward button.

Hey, i don't need a fast forward button, i need better quality control from Boogie. Or maybe some luck :D
I stopped Line6ing last week... this week I only did exercises with the guitar without amp, I can't stand that crap.
There's tomorrow... i still have hope for tomorrow ...
It really is strange to have a 50** damaged and get traded by a 38**... Some stores are not selling, and this means that the stores don't buy the Boogies, this way all amps unsold belong to Boogie regardless where they are.

Yes!!!!! It arrived early...!!!!!!! The beast that it is...!!!!
My friend from the store bought it over for me on his way home from work....
We had a beer and played it in..... It feels orgasmic...
So smooth...so brutal........!!!!! And that was just through the recto cab by itself!!!!

Some differences from my old 00084x combo that got destroyed:

*It feels like theres a different EQ slider section. The sliders themselves dont feel like steel with plastic caps, its like the whole slider itself feels more flexible, and the sliders asa group, the way they are mounted, didnt have 'push in give' that I blame for their failure on the combo... (One of the sliders is slightly malformed, but no worries there...at least I know its mine at a glance)
*Theres a list of patents on the rightmost bit of the rear plate that wasn't there before...
*Totally different tubeguard/cage attached on back...
*Switch for Standy on and power dont feel as "heavy/stiff"
*The LED configuration on the ampface for eq fx = Reddy orange = eq, not as orange like some more recent ones in photos....but definitely not a red bulb like 'mute' is.
*The overall tone sounds much more authorative and the gain more growling and vicious, the cleans are lovely the Fat mode clean sounded bolder yet more twinkling/delicate than before.

My god it sounded evil when we worked the volume....Abusing it as we speak... Cant wait to get this jamming.....!!!!

All fingers crossed now for RKorn now to get his in, and swiftly..!!!!

What serial no. range is it? And does this have the grill in the back as opposed to the alluminum bar?

In the end it turned to to be in the late 0035xx's.

Small grill/cage sitting specifically round the tubes...

(My first combo had a long grille/guard that reached from side to side all along. )

Pics to show comparison follow shortly... :)
