Every once in a while, I seem to have one of those "I can't believe I didn't think to do this before" moments. This one's simple, thought I'd share.
Using my C+ at gigs, in some rooms I find the sound is darker or brighter, due to tube gremlins or the acoustics of each room. Anyway, rather than tweaking my front panel settings, which I prefer to leave mostly unchanged, recently I've figured out that just by adjusting the Presence, I can really do a good job of compensating for the room. I've been pleasantly surprised at how much range that control has, and I'm having an easy time getting the same tone all the time now. Don't forget that little knob in the back!
