the 2c+ mods?

I often hear talk on these boards of the .002 mod or the .001, and transistor this, mod that..

whats this all about? I thought a 2c+ was a 2c+, and your options were simul, eq, reverb.

Transistor What? Any amp circuit in the world can be modded. To tame the overall brightness of the clean channel you use a 10pf across the 3.3M. If you want to tame the brightness of the lead channel, you add a .001 or 1000pf cap to the V4A plate load resistor. There not options, they are modifications at your own will.

The only solid state components are in the graphic EQ circuit.
