thats fantastic

where were the SM57/MD 421 mics place? ie same speaker? whcih, how far, on off axis? (im giong to start recording my guitar parts for some songs soon.. and am looking for examples (i know just move the mic till it sounds good, but examples help)

Both mics are an inch off the grille, edge of the dustcap, on axis. Having the mic at the center of the cone sounds loudest but the high end is very harsh.

Chk out this vid and fast forward to the middle if you have not. There's some pretty good mic placements that will give you an idea on how it will affect your tone and narrow down the kinda sound you're going for. Gd luck.
