I have a 2011 era Standard (traditional) Mesa 4x12 cab loaded with British V30.
I have Mark V and VII amps.
I am looking for more low-end definition and less mid and highs spike.
Am I out too lunch to replace the four of them for the Electro Voice ?
Is that cab a good candidate for the swap ?

Thaanks for your help.

Welll.. if one finds the tonality of the evm pleasing then by all means go for it 🤭

Had a thiele cab with evm many years and finally grew tired of how it sounded and reacted to playing. Later on in my GAS journey bought similar cab again and all the qualities I got fed up were still there.. decided that EVM is not for me and would keep the V30s in the recto cab - that’s just my observation and ears

For Mark V I have dropped the 2200 slider to same level as 750 and it’s not spikey. Bass is defined when having the 80 slider in 3/4 of the range about.
