studio preamp mods

I remember reading a post a while back that I can no longer find. It was about a gain mod for the studio pre. I don't remember if it was IIC+ or markVI in description (though the markVI type sound is more my style). I was just curious if anyone had links to or just gain mod tips for the studio pre.
