Stiletto's loop

Just used it for the first time with my effects and when using channel two with the effects they tend to distort really quick.

I'm running my Loop station first, flanger, phaser, tremolo, and line 6 delay and the end.

How should I set the knob on the back? I just noticed that it doesnt have a loop pedal to turn it off and on like the retifier series. hmm.


The output is at noon on the front of the head and my channel two volume is at 10 o'clock.

And when playing a loop (boss rc-2 loop station) through the amp its not very loud, any idea why?

hi

i suggest you set the master in each channel as you like and then activate the loop.

adjust the send level (back panel) until the line 6 starts to clip and then a bit back.

the preamp section and loop should be fine then. for volume changes you use the output and solo pots.

i always go that way, the loop in the stiletto works fine with me.

Well I know all the basic things like that. But the clipping is the problem. And its a problem when its at a band volume. The mix on the line 6 is half way and any lower it wont delay for too long.

it makes no difference if you play bedroom or gig level volumes. the loop is always the same. the volume is done by the output pot.

if there is too less power after the send, your effects are the reason. turn the output higher.

when you send the signal through an effect processor it can change a lot, how wet is the send back signal?

otherwise, i had trouble with preamp tubes, the signal was low, check also the 12ax7 tubes for the effects loop

yes, OUTPUT on the front

a good setting for the back knob (send level) is to "nearly" clip. the line6 podxt e.g. shows the clipping level on the display ("clip"). i set the line6 pod to full output volume (no stomps, no amp simu, only reverb and delay based fx)

the send level is usually at 11h-12h, small adjustments via the MASTER knob

I have the line 6 delay which doesnt show anything what you mentioned but I've figured it out. Thanks for your help.

If the delay you have is the DL4 (large four buttom green delay) I had the same problem as well as the fact that the volume would drop when engaged. The DL4 is not made to run through the loop. I called Mesa to find out what the problem was and they advised me of the same. I then browsed it and found some information on it on the line 6 website, Customer service had responded to someone saying that.
