Other than the wattage and headshell I assume the Stiletto Ace and Stage IIs have the same gain, tone and ffeatures correct?

I sold my 5153 and I'm probably going to go with one of the Stilettos.

Usually the 100 watters have slightly more lowend it seems. I'm guessing that it's the same with the Stilettos. I'll snag whichever version, Ace or Stage II that is, that comes up in the used market. I had a Stage I Trident and really didn't like it. I played the Ace and was very impressed. Wayyyy better than the original series. I don't even think I'd use a boost pedal with it, although I do have a Keeley SD-1 which I will try.

I can tell you that they sure as hell don't sound the same.....the Deuce II has more low end (thicker sounding if you will). I've never heard anyone complain about the Deuce II sounding thin.....as I have with the Ace.
