For my case when the amp is first turned on if I engage any switch on the footswitch, whether it be FX, EQ, Rev, 1, etc... I get a pop. But then that is all. So I have made it a habit when I first turn the amp on to just randomly step on the switches. After doing that I am good for the entire time I am playing.

I was wondering if the pops when changing channels is due to static buildup?

No, all channels are on 90w. It doesn't have to be any particular channel. Simply engaging the FX loop from the footswitch can cause a pop. The thing is is that from the footswitch whatever is first engaged after initial power up is what causes the pop. After that nothing until the next time the amp is powered up again.

To me it's not an issue. I was just curious and wondered what others thought?
