Hi everyone, I have a Mark V on order from Sweetwater and it should be shipping in early October. I have never owned a boogie before, as I always thought they were too hard to tweak. After hearing some killer clips on the netmusicians website and reading the user manual, I decided to take the plunge. Reading the manual is really what pushed me over the edge.
My concerns about it amp being too complex seemed misplaced. Anway, I have just sold my Budda Sd30 and am eagerly awaiting my new mark v.
For cabs, I will be running it through either an avatar premier vintage 2x12 (one with green backs one with a g12h30/v30 combo) or an avatar oversize 1x12 with a celestion blue. The 1x12 most likely won't get used because of it's wattage rating. I also plan to record using a hotplate and various speaker impulses.
I called the mesa dealer about 40 miles from here and they had a mark v head. Brought it home and played it for a bit, making this clip. Sadly, it totally died while I was going to add a third guitar part. No power, no nothing. I suspect a fuse, but who knows.
