Very impressive work! The guitar and also music itself is very good, IMO.

My favourite was "Take the leap". The orchestral section was very good, and when the drums came in it created a special mood that I really enjoyed. It had some nice harmonies as well. IMHO, the ending of that song was a bit too abrupt. Personally, I would have tried to merge the "orchestra" and the rock format to create a bit of a majestic and satisfactory ending :) Only my opinion, of course.

"Head east" is my second favourite. The intro worked nicely to build expectation and tension.

Did you play the orchestral part in "Take the leap" yourself on a keyboard or did you program it on the computer? If you play the keyboard yourself, it would be cool if you could also use it as a lead instrument, perhaps with a piano or mellotron sound. You music seems very varied, so it would be cool to mix things up a bit with e.g. a piano solo in a jazzy mood in between your rock-style guitar soloing, perhaps with some interesting background rhythms :)

Very nice playing all in all, and great tone even though I myself do not use that much distortion (I rarely go above 50% gain on the burn channel on my 5:25). I enjoyed the lead tone on "Head East" the most. To me, your tone is similar to J.Petrucci's, although with less reverb I think, which is a good thing.

Thanks for the comments. The orchestral section was programmeded into my pc. I'm planning on getting a USB audio interface in the near future so I can play the stuff my self. I'll def get some keyboard solos and guitar/key trade offs going on once I can actually record my keys. I was thinking of doing a bit more to Take the Leap but it would take a while until I get the time to record some more stuff so I just left it as it was. I am planning some more stuff for the future but I'll just have to wait until I get some time to do so.
