Hi all,

Messing about last night, is this another way of setting it up. On red channel, turn the gain right down. Master almost full on. Output suited to required vol. Now gradually increase gain to get distortion. On the red channel this about 7 to 9 o clock. Am i off the mark here or what?

Same goes for other channel just less distortion ie bluesy to rock.

I do this with my DC-3 to keep the distortion as low gain as possible and for max headroom. This also works in the clean channel for max headroom (less breakup). I've not tried this on my Rectoverb though. There's all sorts of ways to get different tones out of your amp. This is a cool tactic that most people don't think to try...
