Solo 50 single rectifier series 2 tube suggestions

Hey guys, Its time to re-tube my single rec.

Should I use mesa's tubes or go with somethin else?

I need pre and power amp tubes. I like the 6L6's but dont know much about the EL34's.

Any suggestions?
