Ian is an easy guy to deal with..straight shooter...no issues with this amp,or any of his equipment. Cant get any newer than this :!:

I've owned 3 newer 3ch DR's and they are very good amps just a different sound application and a few other differences...the SLO is much more defined and less compression, SLO is dynamically better (than most I've played) for pick attack etc.., the OD channel on the SLO is incredible period!!, the crunch channel is very good and you can get alot of different sounds out of it, the SLO clean channel is much better than the DR.
The SLO is a much more usable amp IMHO with the depth mod it will cover the DR newer heavy stuff, but I like the amp stock with good tubes.
It is all a matter of personal taste, most people really like these amps.
