I've been back and forth on selling this, but the time has come. Since I originally posted it, it's been gone over - cap job, etc (read below) and the reverb tank bit the dust. Anyone want a great deal?

:!: price drop - $2,000 paypal'd + shipping :!:

Details:

Mark IIC *modded* to a IIC+ by MB - Born in late 1983
Serial is: 11536
Features:
- Simul-Class
- Imbuya, Wood and Wicker Cabinet
- Reverb
- Graphic EQ

Including:
- Sessions road case
- Footswitch (just toggles channels)
- Slip Cover

Other Important Stuff:
- Looks like a “100” transformer, 25th week of 1983
- Power tubes - SED EL34's in outter sockets with less than 2 hours on them. 6L6's are SED.
- Black Shadow speaker

Condition and Notes:
- Excellent to VG++. I think it looks absolutely wonderful, but I won’t be the beholder for much longer so look at the pics. When asking for selling advice in this forum I gave the impression it was “as new.” It certainly isn’t “as new” and the blem’s on the cabinet are shown in the photos. **** pretty – not pristine. The tone of course is un-scratched.

- Todd Wolfgram at Dave's Guitar shop in La Crosse, WI recently went over this amp. Since the photos were taken, he's put a varnish on the transformer to prevent corrosion, replaced two screen grid resistors that were outside tolerance, and replaced two filter caps with the appropriate F&T. He described the power and preamp section as "rock solid."

- I don’t have the little checklist/initial card with the amp.

- The road case and slip cover are cosmetically…well…kinda beat. They’ve done their job. Based on advice from the vintage forum, I’ll probably ship it in the road case only so the drivers can use the handles and wheels and such to make a safer delivery. The top handle of the road case shouldn’t be used to lift the entire weight of the amp – it has cracks forming around it and feels weakened – so I’ll tape the handle down good. Side handles, wheels and latches are good to go. If a buyer prefers a different shipping method, they will be responsible for the difference in cost.

Payment:
- Payment by money order or PayPal
- my ebay account is Jamie.groth for feedback.
- I don’t know if it would ever be an issue, but more than one person says “Sold” I’m looking at the first person in my [email protected] account, not PM’s here.

Hi all -

What questions do you have about the amp? Are the photos and descriptions adequate?

I'm new to the Boogie Board and if that gives anyone pause, I understand. I'd be happy to discuss things over the phone and provide some references if you'd like. I'm in Winona, MN for anyone that would like to test-drive and deal in person.

No questions here - I think you did a superb job with the pictures, description etc. If I had enev close to the $ you're looking for I'd be on it in a heartbeat. Stunning looking amp.

I think Simul-Class isn't the 60/100. Class A or Simul-Class on the pics- the 60/100 is the non simul-class version I think. Any trades or just sell?

Good catch - thanks! It is switchable between "Class A" and "SimulClass".

I'm not seeking trades at this point - sorry. Thanks for checking it out.

Could there be a more gratifying use of the economic stimulus rebate check?

I am ineligible to receive the stimulus check. The govt feels I make too much money... Nice amp though 8)

Mkay. I see 550 views, so there must be interest - can I sell this thing here?

If someone here buys it I'll make a $30 donation to the maintenance of the Boogie Board.

Hey, this may have been answered, but does this have the IIC+ transformer? Sorry, I'm not 100% familiar with all the inner workings of the IIC+.

It has the 100 transformer. The 105 being the normal IIC+ Transformer, the 100 being the IIC or early IIC+ version. This is most likely a sweet tone amp.

Just posting to say I have a 60/100 C->C+ with the 100 tranny and it smokes... tons of shred and tone for days. This is a great amp!

hey - thanks for helping to answer this, guys!
Scott, I sent you a PM with the transformer details and would urge you to check out the "Vintage" forum here. There is a "sticky" at the top with all kinds of IIC+ history and detail.

I can't compare the tones of various IIC+'s like some of the others - I've owned only one. I had a IIB before this amp and definately see the refinement of the IIC+. The metal tones are there, are amazing, and are easy to dial. I used the more vintage tones, also amazing and quite flexible.

Jamie
