Well, no actual snakes, but it's making a lot of background noise, hiss and high frequency stuff. It seems to be getting worse. I'm guessing preamp tubes, but what else should I check out? Would filter caps do that? Other then that it's sounding great and has no shortage of power.
 
preamp tubes first!

(and maybe wait until the lsd wears off) :lol:
 
It's OK, they're twineing around my guitar neck now. The patterns in the grain of my hardwood Boogie are especially far out! Wow! :lol:
 
You might have a Sonama County Cicada Locust in there. They usually get under the filter cap board. Make sure you discharge those caps before you go poking around looking for a locust...

Seriously, sounds like a preamp tube went microphonic as well as being hissy. On the MK I RI it's usually the V1 or V3 pre amp tube.
