can someone break down what the difference between a series 1 single recto and a current model?

also, the differences (esp. sound wise) compared to a dual recto.

thanks!

Series II has switchable 6L6 or El34 option and an additional switch choice on channel 2 and the footswitch connects on the back of the amp.
You can download both manuals from mesa boogie's website.

The signs of a Series 2 are:
Chrome knobs for Solo and Output (Series 1 had black)
Footswitch plugs into the back (Series 1 had a quarter inch jack on the front next to the input)
Channel 2 has 3 voicings Raw, Vintage, Modern (Series 1 did not have Raw)
Bias switch in the back to go from 6L6 to EL34.

Wait, I have a series one, and the footswitch plugs into the back and has three buttons on it.

Ah, I've got the combo, not the head. =)

I see.. So you have the Series I Rect-O-Verb Combo then? That makes sense then on your footswitch being in the back in this series even since you have reverb as your third button and a 3 button switch couldn't be put in with a stereo quarter inch jack on front. I follow yah...

I also have a series1 rectoverb 50 combo and the footswitch plugs into the back.
