Single rectifier wire Engl Speaker Question

Hi There.

What is the best and correct way to connect my Single Rectifier 50W to the Engl XXL 4X12 XXL PRO?

Engl Cabinet:
8 ohms Mono
2 X 16 Ohms Stereo
Two jacks - Left and right
One switch to change Mono/Stereo.

Now, Im using the Amp 8hm jack to the Engl right jack and switch in
Mono, is this ok?
What is the best setting?

Personally I would just use the 8 ohm out on your rectifier and go to the 8ohm mono jack on the cab. I dont think youll hear a difference by running 2 cables from the 8 ohm out's on your rectifier to the 2 16 ohm stereo inputs on the cab. Plus, you have to lug around 2 cables that way! :wink:

If I want to put the speaker in Stereo I connect the two 4ohm jacks from the amp to the right/left from the speaker or one 8ohm jack and one 4ohm jack to the speaker right/left ?

rectoverbs sound WAY better when running a 8 ohm cab in each 4 ohm jack so i would suggest you run stereo.
