Single Rec 50 used as a Pre-Amp??

I just bought an old 50/50 from craigslist and want to test this beast out...

I don't have enough money for the triaxis yet but was wondering if the send on the Single Rec can be used as a pre-amp to the 50/50 so i can juice this thing and see what i bought?

As long as you keep a speaker load on the Single Rec 50, the slave out is the way to go.
