Hi All,

Any ideas on what I could use as a substitute for a Simul Satellite - they are as rare as hen's teeth here in the UK and would love to go stereo with my IV??

You could use any amp with an effects loop and connect the satellite output of the MkIV to the effects return jack of the other amp. As far as I know a satellite is just a combo amp with power section but no preamp. plugging in to one is like plugging into the effects return of a normal amp - ie going direct into the power amp. It could be another Boogie or any other make. Or you could use a rackmount power amp and seperate cab. Theres loads of options really.

For what I know, the Satellite is a guitar amp with a full power section and a fairly simple preamp. You can use it as a stand-alone normal amp and it has some nice cleans but you will need to use some pedals if you want some preamp distortion.
