There is a Mark IV Simul-Satellite which was designed as an extension for the Mark IV, and I believe is the same exact power amp. I'm not sure if it has the same power scaling options though.
 
The 290 can run EL34's in the Class A sockets. Email Mesa for a PDF and it explains it.

With the 290 you do not have the options of running class A, triode, or tweed power.

Looks like you are SOL for a rack amp to do what you want.

I would be very simple to add switches to a 295 to toggle the EL34 sockets between pentode and triode.
 
I have a Simul 395 Stereo power amp I'm looking to sell. Very clean, has "switch-trac" options, etc.
