I see that there were two versions of the 2:90.
I'm searching for one for my new Quad preamp and I'm curious what the advantages or deficiencies are between the two.
Zen desk touched upon the subject but failed to address what the revision encompasses internally.
I can see a line/instrument level switch and ground lift, which the Version I does not have. I'm just curious if they perhaps switched to an inferior stock of components or whatever. Any insight anyone may have would be greatly appreciated in helping me make the best decision possible.

I have the first version ( blue pilot). As far as I know it may be just the power tube layout but would love to have the opportunity to have one in front of me so I can take a peek inside. Would love to see the tweaks, if any. There are some issues with the plastic clip from the PT melting. First version. Second version I'm not sure.
