Silent Recording output

Has anyone ever used this feature on a DC series? I am about to leave to go on another overseas tour and cannot bring the 412 this time . I hope to run the DC10 preamp through a mixing board and out to the PA and my monitor...anyone?

I think it might need a load on the amp still for proper use even though it will be silent. Call Mesa to be sure.
