I was supposed to see Stryper tomorrow at the House of Blues, but Michael sweet the singer is sick. So they postponed it until December 21st, and I already have a Mark V shirt that I had made for him to sign, but I am now thinking of having him sign my Mark V combo as well since he plays the Mark V. I guess my question is if your favorite guitar player played the amp you own would you take it to get it signed?

You might have your amp confiscated since he plays one too the roadies might think you're stealing his. I say sure! Bring all the electrical appliances you can find. You wont look like a fanboy douche at all.

...four weeks ago JP played my MKV head @ a clinic here in hamburg and I did not even think about having it signed... NO!!!

:?:

Sure! I took some pics of his settings on my amp with my tube setup (Tung Sol 12AX7 Highgrades in V1 and V3 and Mesa STR 447 EL34 in the poweramp) and played his setting for two or three minutes.

What a terrible sound! LOL!
Imho the sound he dialed in was way too oversaturated and "muddy".
...didn't work for my guitars/ears/playing/style, but at least now I know, how he would dial in the settings with an amp with this tube combination.

Besides, somehow JP seemed to like the look (trans crimson stain w/ wicker cane) and the sound of the Tung Sol 12AX7 tubes. Wouldn't be surprised, if...

How would you bring it there, babysit it during the show and get it out of there without being mugged? I know it's a Stryper show and all, but there are some crazy people out there regardless of religious affiliation.

Regarding signing it, yeah, go for it. As long as it makes it cooler to you. I got the back of my Soldano SLO signed by Mike Soldano and Bill at the factory. It makes it that much cooler, just have him sign the back:

Keeping up with it after the meet and greet is the biggest thing that is on my mind.... I have it in a kick butt road case which rolls very easily. But I am afraid to have someone see me carry it back out to my car before the show starts....
