shorter footswitch lead for home- standard plugs ?

hey

I'm thinking i would mind getting a shorter lead for my DR footswitch for home practise. My music room is tight at the moment and the lead always seems to be in the way to trip over .

I cant see any reason why any standard din plug lead shouldnt work ? Am I right ?

Are we talking about the 3 Channel Recto? If so any 7-pin DIN will work with the footswitch.
