Short head vs long head

I've always heard that for some reason the long heads sound better than the short heads, can anyone say whether it's true or not?

I have a MKIV medium head and I've never heard it, are you sure you're not thinking of the combos ?

yes start buying the long heads so the prices of the short heads goes down

Haha - they sound the same. I've owned both... I like the size of the short head as it sits nicely on two thiele cabs!! :twisted:

they are all the same amp in side.. but if your taking block logo's to the metal logo's huge sound difference..

Comments like that are found on a regular basis on a popular auction site. I can sometimes hear a difference between "same" amps and I have "sorted" them in a music store buying etc. BUT it is nothing I would consider based upon anything real.
