[Edit] OK, seriously second guessing this now..... =-/

Don't want to spend anymore money tone chasing. If I don't touch the Dual for 6 months, it will go back up but something tells me that simply won't happen.

More detailed / unflattering pics are available via PM.

I'd argue your price should be $100 higher... it is a fairly clean black face.

At that price someone should jump on this amp.

Want me to re-list on Canada Guitar? EDIT: Nevermind... it's against to rules to list someone else's gear there.

Still... $1200 is a really fair price for a black face Rev F.

Go for it.
The bottom of the amp is a bit scratched up because I lent it to my stupid friend when I first got it. It has a few nicks but it is overall in great shape. I have NEVER had any problems with it and I have always replaced tubes before anything bad happened.

If I ever get Recto GAS again down the line, I'll pick up a Tremoverb head ;)

Just read their listing rules and unfortunately I can't do it. They may be worth checking out yourself as they have a fairly active for sale section on that board... kind of handy as it's Canadian-centric.

Not a recto player, but I love the way those blackface duals look. Badass.

Good luck with the sale!

That is one sad black face.

DON'T DO IT!

Aww, where were you last month? I'd buy it in a heartbeat but I'm broke
But seriously, you might regret selling it

Is it bad that I'm secretly hoping it won't sell!!???

Poor Dual Rectifier. I never thought it would come to this! :(

I went through the same thing when I tried to sell my DC 3. Fortunately I didn't sell it (wanted a DC 5 a few weeks back).

I'm convinced that sometimes that amp picks the person and you can't get rid of it for a reason.

Well ya, this was my first tube amp. I tried it again today and it is simply too bright for my tastes. I much prefer the Electra Dyne. I think this will get easier as I get used to the Electra Dyne.

I was playing today and the amp simply has SO many different tones hidden in it and they are all good. It is pretty flexible when I can access three of them at any given time. It also does not create ear fatigue like the Dual does. I'm pretty pumped!

The Dual Rectifier is up for sale and I hope someone will bite who really wants this amp!

**edit** Just got a trade offer for JCM2000 DSL50 + $500 cash....

YellowJacket - You spoke so highly of that amp all the time with all those rants in the Rec forum. Never looked like she was going anywheres. What happened? :?:

I made the 'mistake' of trying an Electra Dyne.

This amp continues to amaze me every time I power it up. I simply LOVE it.
The Dual Rectifier is fantastic for riffing and heavy music but I've had it for over 10 years and finances are tight right now. I need the right tool to gig with and the Electra Dyne will hopefully make me money while in school. I was playing the 'Dyne today and I was astounded at the number of blues / classic rock low gain tones that are available on tap. Like each time I dial in a tone, I sit there with a stupid grin on my face. It is simply so versatile.

If I had cash, I'd keep the Dual for SURE. Never know when you need epic crunch! As it stands, the Electra Dyne is my #1 choice and the Dual is a close second but my bank account can't sustain this many assets. I'm sure someone will REALLY want the thing and it will make them happy for years!

Understandable man. Awesome...good to see your having alot of fun with the 'Dyne! Good luck on the sale!

I'm surprised I haven't had more bites on this... I'm looking at my Dual right now and it looks so gorgeous! I've always been very partial to the blackface design and in my opinion, it is one of the nicest looking formats out there. I'll keep waiting and see what happens I guess.

Summertime, plus lack of Recto hype at the moment.

I'd wait it out. All it takes is one dude on some internet forum raving about how he just tried a Recto for the first time and how awesome it was and a new round of excitement (ie, sales) will be kicked off. Modded Marshalls seem to be the flavour of the month on the various places I hang out, so not a lot of love being sent our way at the moment.

If you're in no rush August/September is usually a good time as kids have money from their summer jobs and are starting to return to school. It also means a younger (more brewtalls!!1!) crowd surfing internet forums.
