I just found some 7581A tubes to buy and I would like to use them in my DC-5 combo.
Somebody could tell me what is the correct bias range for a DC-5?
What is the plate voltage of this amp?
Thank you

Unless these tubes were measured and coded by Mesa, you must be capable of measuring the current draw and plate voltage in your particular amp, with these tubes installed, and adjust if need be.It is posible that they will happen to fall into the proper bias range, but more likely they wont.

These are NOS GE 7581A.
I don't have the tubes now. I'll buy, and I need the info to have the best matched pair from the seller.
Thanks

These are very good tubes.I would measure the plate voltage and bias voltage as well as the current draw of your particular amp.If you are unable to do this maybe if you call Mesa they can give some info the tube vendor could use.Still, after paying for a premium set of tubes I would not feel comfortable without checking their performance in my particular amp,I am sure these tubes are not cheap, and I wouldnt trust running them based on rumors.

Thanks Stokes,
You are completely right.
I sent an e-mail to Mesa factory.
