so on this page, the guy talks about adding a reverb switch to a Fender Blues Junior... I'm trying to figure out what he's done and apply the same thinking to my .50 Caliber+

so basically the thinking is to ground the output signal from the tank... on the blues junior, that means putting the leads from the switch on either pole of C19

http://www.thetubestore.com/lib/thetubestore/schematics/Fender/Fender-Blues-Junior-Schematic.pdf

i'm pretty sure the second page is the revision he's working with, since C19 on the first page really has nothing to do with the reverb tank... you can see C19 across the WHT and SHIELD of the output of the reverb tank... so, that makes sense, when the switch is closed, it bypasses the cap and all the signal goes straight to ground...

the problem is that the circuit design around the reverb tank is quite different on the .50 cal, and i'm certainly no expert on these things... but it seems to me that the 250pf cap just to the left of V9A is my best bet here... i'm guessing that V9A is the output amplifier for the tank, and the output signal is coming off of pin 1... if i put the switch across that cap, the signal would bypass the cap when the switch is closed and go directly to ground...

anyway, if anybody out there with a better idea that me can confirm my thinking or advise a better option, it'd be most appreciated...

thank you
