Dual Rectifier...Rock tones....STP,Foo,Soundgarden...Which speaker would be the best in a mesa slant rectifier cab?

To me, V30's are about the best speakers you could have out there. They sound huge, they're tight, and they provided low end bass.

These just sound living. They're no flat speaker. It is why it has been favorite speakers for a long time... still not finished.

I've wondered this too. Is it the bass amp and bass cab section? Or is it the bass amp and guitar cab section? If it is the latter, it sure is a strange pairing.

Oh, and to answer the original question...I like the 90-watt Black Shadows that Celestion currently makes for Mesa. Not a fan of Vintage 30's. The Black Shadows sound so much beefier than the V30's.

It seems all the new Recto cabs you buy from Mesa have V30s. Do any 4 x 12 cabs come from Mesa with these Black Shadows fitted?
