Channel 2 gets no love in our practice space. Channel 1, 3, 4 all sound great. We keep finding the tone either too bright/harsh for clean arpeggiated stuff and if we dial in any crunch at all for rhythm it gets really boomy.

Amp's a combo. Guitar's a Gibson SG with the stock pups. Volume's not a problem. Boost (Barber Direct Drive) is available but the settings have to play nice with Ch3 and Ch4 too.

What are you doing with your Ch2? Settings?

Brit voicing:

Gain 3 o clock
Treble 3 o clock
Mid 12 o clock
Bass 2 o clock
Presence 9 o clock
Master 11 o clock

Season to taste and enjoy.

This seems to work.....have fun.

+1. nearly the same on my RKII. Maybe a tad more gain and mids.

Fat Clean- gain at 12, treb and mid 11, bass about 9 and presence varies by room, 100 watt diode.

Handles 80% of all my clean sounds

channel 1 is tweed, 3 is vintage and 4 is modern. Never cared for the brit mode, but haven't really cared to spend more than an hour with it either....

For the moment (on a RKII)...

Clean mode. Tube rect.

Gain - 5:30 (100%)
Treble - 1:30
Mid - 5:30 (100%)
Bass - 11:00
Presence - 12:30
Master - 10:00

Into the V30 side of a RK cab, using a strat.

Same here with my Roadster, 50W Tube Rectified with the master past 12:00.

I'm using mine as follows:
Fat Clean Mode
Master: 3:00
Presence: 9:00
Bass: 9:30
Mid: 12:00
Treble: 12:00
Gain: 9:00
100 watt
Diode

I'm with Laskyman, I just never cared for Brit mode...

Seems most of the settings keet the mids around noon, i max them out with these settings and it sounds great with my epi lp with stock pups and my wolfgang.

CH2:
Brit
Gain - Max
Treb 11:00
Mid - Max
Bass - 10:30ish
Pres - All the way off
Master 9:30
Recto 50W
Thow in a boost for leads (I use the OCD with volume maxed, gain off, and tone at about 11:00, HP)

works for eighties rock (not metal!) and with the boost give a good lead tone too.

roadster head...brit mode
gain max.
bass max.
mids 3 o´clock
trebs 2-3 o´clock
100 watt, silicon diodes
