:?:

I have been playing the roadster on and off today and experimenting. This thing is a tone monster, however I have one question:

Is anyone hard bypassing the loop and solo contols?

The amp gets way loud and killer. I have it on the loop active right now, but onothing in it, and that control is at noon.

Bypassing it really takes the amp to another level...

What are you gyus doing and if I wanted to run my amp like this and make the MV inactive would it ruin the amp?

I notice a huge difference with the loop out, I don't use effects so it stays off.

well I use a gmajor in the loop. So the hard bypass is off...but at the studio, i turn on the hard bypass and pure roadster bliss

I use my loop (G-Maj) so the loop is active for me.

The amp is designed this way, that is why you have this feature. When the loop is Hard Bypassed you are eliminating all the loop circuitry (and one 12AX7) from the audio path.
It's straight from EQ to Power Stage (well sort of) with the loop Hard Bypassed.

+1 dom.

Actually if you read the manual, mesa says to turn off the loop in studio and mess with the eq to get the PURE TONE!

I'm going to give this a go to see what all the commotion is about! Pffft! I mean who needs a FX loop anyways eh

Ciao ...

Yeah, someone else play with this. The amp is almost night and day in my mind.

I have never had so many tonal possibilities with a single amp before.

I am thinking about hard bypassing the loop for good
