Hi everyone.

Ive got a Roadster thats less than a month old. I checked it out when it arrived and it played fine on all modes/channels. I tryed to use it again today at a rehearsal and it had almost completely died. It was very quiet and distorted regardless of what channel or mode I switched it to. Ive since tryed a different speaker cable which made no difference, and I checked the cab (Marshall 2x12) using my old Marshall head, and had no problems there, so the cab is fine.

If anyone has any ideas what might be wrong then PLEASE let me know, I need to use the amp for my finals which are on monday!

Thanks,
CH.

Yeah 'hard bypass' switches out the loop, solo and output controls. I'll check that valve though I have no idea what Im doing when it comes to valves!!

Thanks for that :)

If you have the loop engaged then make sure you have the send knob on the back turned up.

I have made that mistake before myself.

Yeah I made sure I had the loop level knob up full, it didnt make any difference. Ive also noticed that power talves 1 and 4 have a strange slight blue glow when the amp is on...is this normal??

Problem solved: the valve that controls the effects loop (which is V5, not V4) had blown, and actually broken. I think this was possibly from transporting it on the day, but Ive replaced the blown V5 valve and it works fine. Thanks guys!

Yup, infact for anyone who finds this page and needs to know, here's what all the valves are:

V1 A = First Gain Stage
V1 B = Second Gain Stage

V2 A = 3rd Gain Stage - Channel 1 & 2
V2 B = 3rd Gain Stage - Channel 3 & 4

V3 A = 4th Gain Stage - Channel 3 & 4
V3 B = Tone stack Driver - Channel 3 & 4

V4 A = Reverb Return
V4 B = Reverb Driver

V5 A = FX Loop Send
V5 B = FX Loop Return

V6 A & B = Phase Inverter/Driver

Ah, sorry, I meant your FX loop tube.. forgot the roadster had 6 preamp tubes.

Glad you got it fixed ;)
