I have never used a parametric eq before and I've recently acquired a 4 band parametric eq. Should the parametric eq be put in front of the amp to "color" the sound before going into my Roadster or in the effects loop? I just want to use the parametric eq on channels 3 and 4 and loop it out with my GCX Audio switcher while using channels 1 and 2.

I use it in the loop. Have some sounds without it and a particular one with.
If you put it in front youre equing your guitar, which helps imo detremine if at least you need a change of pickups, but if its the amp's sound you want to play with id put it in the loop.

Gluck!

I have an EMG 81 and 85, I'm looking for a good "thrashy" 80's metal type sound. I'll try it in the loop to see what I get.
Thanks,
