So last couple of shows I have been mixing up cabs with my roadster head. Here are the different combination's:

1)Roadster + Genz Benz g-flex 2x12
2)Roadster + Mesa rectifier 4x12
3)Roadster + 2 Mesa rectifier 4x12
4)Roadster + 2 Mesa rectifier 2x12

To me the roadster + 2 mesa rectifier 2x12 sounded the best. The head was running at 4 ohms, it sounded big but not too huge. The highs, lows, and the tight feel was there. I play rock music and it was perfect for that. The other guitarist plays stiletto through a 4x12 and it blended in perfectly.

I was using gibson les paul and 72 tele deluxe.

Just wanted to share it with you guys!

yep,

out of the choices of my 'test drive' when I bought my Roadster, the 2x12 Recto cab sounded 'best' to me!

(and to the ears of the shop owner and my wife--the most important voter. lol.)

I use a 2x12 at practice but for gigs i use the 4x12...i find the 2x12 not as full sounding as the 4x12, but sometimes i'll run them both just to show off lol!

that would be nice too. And two 2x12 is epic win when it comes to moving stuff around.
