Finally recorded some clips..... the kids were in the next room watching TV, so there may be some bleed through. These aren't the best clips I've ever recorded, but you get the idea.

Wow tele_jas, very nice site.

I felt like I was able to judge pieces of equipment off of your recordings.
The same song from a few different amps helped with that.

I visited for the roadster clips and stayed for the rest. Very nice test site you have there.

I usually prefer closed back cabinets (more for the gain stuff than anything else) but this amp sounds full. And the reverb sounds nice and lush is that the amps reverb or a processor?
what power tubed do you have in it?

The 1x12 combo is actually a closed back V30 speaker cabinet.

That's the amps actual reverb... I didn't do anything post to the recroding, it's just a SM57 in front of the amp and that's all you hear. The reverb is the BEST of any Boogie I've ever owned, even better than my Road King I just sold.

I really like this amp quite a bit!!

The Brit mode was done with 6L6's, I'm going to try to get a recording with EL34's sometime, but it may be a few weeks with Christmas around the corner and we're having guest for a couple of weeks (whoo hoo  ).

Awesome clips, but bedroom levels my ass! Hot plate? :p

Sounds like I have to get some single coils after all. So rich on harmonics and crispy character. Humbuckers sound so.. flat. Been using them since I started playing, never really gave Fenders or similar a chance since people always whined about single coils feedbacking.

No hot plate........ It was a "loud" bedroom level because my kids were in the next room watching cartoons and they kept yelling "turn it down Dad"! I finally got to a level that didn't bother them and that I could work with. So it wasn't exactly a "quiet bedroom level", but it wasn't that loud either..... So that may be a bit mis-leading.

The single coils I'm using are pretty hot single coils, but they are definately a lot more "spanky" than humbuckers. I used Humbuckers pretty much exclusively for a couple years, but I went back to my roots with the Telecasters at the first of this year and now only use the humbucker guitar here and there and I'm much happier now.
