JUST GOT A RKII FROM HERE, I HAD 2 IN THE PAST SO I KNOW A BIT BUT, THE VOLUME IS LOW, I HAVE THE MASTER AND THE OUTPUT at noon, and i get a bit above bedroom volume,,,, with anything below its pretty quiet and between 0-9 o'clock its nothing,, while my mark iv at a hair of volume is stupid loud.

Could be a loop issue. Try bypassing the loop and just use the masters to see if its something in the loop. Also check you loop level. Kind of obvious suggestions, but we sometimes miss the obvious! I don't know how many times i'm checking everything on my amp and realize the gutiar cord is not fully in the jack!

tried it, similar results, with the loop bypassed, I have the master at noon and I get above bedroom volume, but I assume it should be shaking the house, from what I recall with my old RK< i had them just past 0. :( ,,, is it power, or preamp issue?

any ideas?

can someone set their RK to 9'o clock master and 9' ch volume, say ch 3 and tell me if its bedroom or blasting

I've just bought a RKII, after owning a Dual Rectifier and Stiletto Ace

The CH3 (2XEL84's & rectifier)on the RK is terrible, I assumed it was a problem and just sent the head back for replacement.

I found with the loop bypassed I'd get bedroom levels upto 9oclock, a slight increase upto 12 and then nothing after 12oclock! just a weird phasing noise.

changed are preamp tubes, no improvement
