Road King Series 1 External Trigger Question

Can the External Trigger be used to a distortion pedal? If I hit the external trigger button, could it activate a pedal before the amp? Even if the pedal is plugged in the back of the amp?

What you need is a midi audio switcher like the GCX

With this and a midi pedal you can switch external effects, the channels on your amp, etc.
