Road King.... Cabinet Switching

I'm considering getting a Road King combo and setting it on a 4x12 cab. Using the cabinet switching would it be possible to set it up as such;

1) Open back 2x12 for cleans

2) Closed back 4x12 for rhythm

3) Both for lead

?

Sounds like that would work FINE :lol: I actually have a combo RK that i want to do the same thing with.

yep, that is a simple set up...
-just hook up the Open back 2x12 to Cab "A" and select that in your clean Ch
- hook up the Closed back 4x12 to cab "B" and select that in your rhythm CH
-and select cab "A+B" for your lead ch

It's a cost thing... I already own an Orange 4x12, so it doesn't cost me anything.

I do this setup but with a 4 x 12 RK cab and a 2 x 12 RK cab. I was having a problem when switching to all open back speakers on both cabs not shaking the house like I knew they should have been when cranked.., . I checkd with the mgr. at GC and he told me to unplug the dummy plug which I did and now it rocks the homestead with either 3 open backs..., 3 closed backs or all of them ....., just remember to put the plug back in if you ever change the configuration using just one of the cabs.... and double check my info as I am pretty new to it all...., have fun!
