So this is the concensus right? Any objections? I wanna hear from the forumites that tried them both

I own both and I think it's reversed...
MarkIV is darker and C+ is much brighter.

Both can be dialed for either task, though if I had a choice to reach for a specific amp, I would go to my C+ for leads.

I definitely agree. Everytime I have A/B'd them, I always felt the Mark IV was better for the Rhythms and the Mark IIC+ was better for the elads. The C+ is much clearer, and really sings on leads, whereas the Mark IV is more deep and chugs better. Could never understand why so many people thought it was the opposite.

It's a matter or personal preferences. I prefer a brighter, more aggresive rhythm sound (C+) with a liquid Mark IV-ish lead sound.
+1 exactly what i was gonna say

don't own a IIC+, but from every demo i've seen i'd say i prefer IV for leads and IIC+ for rhythm.
