Question for all the Boogie Guru's

I know that this is kind a dumb questions but here it go.....
What brand of reverb tank is installed in my 97 MB DC10 212?
Can I installed a Fender Reverb Tank on it.

Thanks All in Advance For Any Help.

You can pull the tank and look at the part number stamped on it to verify the type of tank you currently have installed. It should be an Accutronics reverb tank. I'm guessing it is a type 9 tank.

Here is the part number specs for each tank (regardless of the type) vie Accutronics's website:

Once you know the part number of the tank then you can be sure the input and output impedances are the same on the fender one you want to install. IIRC the fender tanks are type 4 which are a little brighter than the type 9 but not sure about the impedances.

If your tank is part number 9BB2A1B then I have a brand new tank I can hook you up with! I ordered a 4BB1A1B (type 4 like in in a Fender with a short decay rather than medium) for my F-30 and never used it. It's the same size as a type 9 but with a different number of springs and shorter delay). There is a piece of foam in it that makes it short decay that can be removed to make it a medium decay. Holler at me if you want it! I'll make you a steal of a deal since i've had it for a while and don't need it since I sold the F-30... Just let me know!

Good luck...
