If you don't have one, get one. I never realized how much "fizz" the reverb adds to the red channel until I was able to switch the reverb in and out while standing in front of the speakers. :shock:

You know, when mine was working for the 5 minutes i had it, the amp sound downright terrible with the reverb kicked in. I didn't even bother with the reverb before i bought it and didn't care since i use something in the loop for verb.

But this can't be normal with these amps. I mean, i didn't sound bad, it sounded like **** with the reveb on. Maybe bad tubes? But my amp is dead altogether after 5 minutes of use.

Sounds like an attack of shitty (MESA branded JJ) preamp tubes. I didn't even give mine the chance to crap out. Tung-Sol reissue and RFT preamps in mine 8) .
