Retubed my Triaxis and 2:90

I just retubed my Triaxis and 2:90 today. It sounds amazing and so much louder than before. I like the new str 440's and the russian 2 preamp tubes. It's weird I feel like I don't have to turn the gain up as much to get a heavy sound. I had my old tubes in for years, I'm sure that's why it sounds so great now. Are there any tips for treating new tubes? Do I need to be careful, or let them warm up longer etc...?? Thanks

Oh I know, I ordered on the phone, so I could make sure I got the same color group for all 8 6l6's. I'm not sure what the STR 440's are, but they are currently selling Russian 2 12Ax7 's I think the picture on the site is out of date. I asked for Russian 2 and Marcus said that is the type they have been using lately. There are some good discussions about the STR 440's on the forum, I like them a lot!! I guess those are Chinese?
