Replacing Mesa Triple Rec Cloth

Hey I have a mesa triple rectifier and I was considering replacing the diamond cut look with a cloth. It seems to be glued down and I do not want to take a chance of damaging anything if that is the case.

I am also going to replace the cloth on my cabinet if anyone has any tips or advice for that?

The diamond plate is held on with very sticky double-back foam tape. Use a heat gun or blow dryer and melt the adhesive to remove it.

The grill of the cab is removable via the inside of the cab. You will see perimeter screws and then the whole grill cloth and frame will come out. Good luck.

Good idea with the heat gun! I have yet to try it out, but I did remove everything from the amp box and when looked on the inside I did not see any screws holding the front on. It looks as though it is held on for good with wooded nudges on the side.

I understand how to remove the diamond plate, what do you actually "recover" though? I want to match my head to cab, this is what I own

As the others have said, applying heat to the diamond plate should loosen it up, but the cab should be a challenge. The grille is easily removed once you take off the back of the cab. You will see perimeter screws as another reply said, but the easy part ends there. If you want to remove the old grille cloth and start anew, reserve about 2 weeks to remove the (literally) thousands of tiny staples holding it on to the frame. You're better off ordering a new grille from Mesa in the color you want.
