replacement tubes for a dual rectifier????

Hi there a little help in this field would be great as i know little about vacume tube characteristics.

I have a three chanel dual recto and i'm feeling that the gain is well!! "fizzy".
Can some one recomend a good alternative to brimg the "fizz" down
i currently still have the stock valves in that came with the thing.
the style of "NOISE" i make is death metal i'm also running a boss metal zone as a booster.



any ideas or sugestions would be cool please. TA!!!!!

That is a ton of gain! What helped me was EL34's, and they seemed to take the high end down a bit and make the amp seem more focused. For 6L6, I love TAD 6L6GC.

cheers bud. i'llgive some mesa el34 valves a try.also i've ditched the metal zone as itwas just too much andchanged to a ds1 OD pedal instead. much more focused already for that change. cheers
